Apple Tablet PC - The Next Big Thing In The Gadget World

Apple has officially announced an Apple Mac Tablet PC, called the iPad. The iPad has a touchscreen and is available in six different models. It is basically a compact tablet PC, relatively bigger in size compared to the iPod or iPhone. The operating system iPhone OS controls the Apple Mac Tablet PC. The iPad has 802.11n, a module Wi-Fi standard and supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The iPad is a device for reading e-books, web surfing, viewing photos and videos, listening to music, playing games and writing e-mails.

The iPad varies in internal memory volume and 3G – module availability. The drive capacity of the iPad is available in 16, 32 and 64 GB. The 3G module of the Apple Mac Tablet PC supports UMTS / HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) and GSM / EDGE (850, 900.1800, 1900 MHz).

The IPS technology in the 9.7 inch screen not only provides color reproduction in high quality but also multiple viewing angles. The screen resolution of the iPad is 1024 by 768 pixels and the screen has protective coating. Apart from that, the iPad has a digital compass, light sensor and an accelerometer. The iPads with 3G – module have A-GPS.

The price of the Apple Mac Tablet PC varies according to the drive capacity and module. Those with 3G are priced at $499 (16 GB), $599 (32 GB) and $699 (64 GB).

Those without 3G are priced at $629 (16 GB), $729 (32 GB) and $829 (64 GB).

Along with a long lasting battery, the iPad has two adapters, one is an external slot for SD-cards and the other is an external port USB.

In spite of all these features, the iPad does not support multitasking, no video connection with the TV, no Flash web browsing and is devoid of a webcam. Yet, the iPad is aiming to be the primary source of work, communication and entertainment.
