Florence visits Hong Kong and Novotel Nathan Road Kowloon Hong Kong:
8 – 11 March 2010
Hong Kong was the first Asian country in Florence’s world tour, and this was the first time Florence has had the chance to discover the city. She was feeling very excited and a little apprehensive about the trip looking – forward to exploring the city but also making sure she didn’t miss out on the best boutiques and shopping areas. She stayed in one of the beautiful suites at Novotel Nathan Road Kowloon Hong Kong, which is situated just a stone’s throw away from the Jade Market and the Night Market of Temple Street.
Florence spent her first couple of days around Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, in and out of local boutiques and markets, talking to the locals, trying out traditional Cantonese Dim Sums, Peking Duck and even local street snacks – Waffles. “Don’t be afraid to try out new things, you’ll be surprised!” she said. Florence also went to Mong Kok Fa Yuen Street, the street for sports shoes where she bought herself some trainers and a bag in Admiralty Centre.
Florence describes Hong Kong as a very welcoming and cosmopolitan city. “People are so friendly and helpful. I love it! You can find anything here!” she says. “The hotel was perfect! My room was comfortable and the service was impeccable! The location of the hotel is near the MTR and getting around the city and shops was so easy, would definitely come back again!” Tokyo will be Florence’s next destination after Hong Kong.
Florence has a master degree in Psychology and always had a passion for travel and meeting people from different walks of life. She loves Jazz Dance and culture and takes an interest in Art Therapy in her spare time.
A blog to see what she is up to
Florence’s best buys are primarily intended for the shopping community of LetsBuyIt.com. So she has created a blog www.LetsBuyIt.com/florence to keep community members informed of her findings and best buys, and share with them her shopping wants and desires.
All Florence’s travel arrangements have been made: routes, transport, areas to explore etc. And she has already planned what she wants to do and where she wants to go when she gets there, inspired by both the traditional travel guide but also tips from other people and the community of LetsBuyIt.com.
About letsbuyit.com
LetsBuyit.com is a former internet site launched in 1998. After the bursting of the Dot Com bubble, the site shut down. However, continuing with the same “community spirit”, under the direction of Pauline Dubuc and Emmanuel Noirhomme, LetsBuyIt.com made a return in March 2009 with a new way to shop. It provides a mix of price comparison, content and social networking, this all-in-one website offers everyone a complete and personalised shopping experience, bringing together all the needs for the shopper to one place. The consumer plays a key role in LetsBuyIt.com: the more everyone takes part, the more everyone profits from it. That is the shopping power of LetsBuyIt.com!
